Real Estate Contract Drafting
Sale, lease, brokerage, management and valuation
A contract that says exactly what both parties mean
Overview
A practical program that teaches participants to draft and review real estate contracts so they say exactly what both parties mean and comply with mandatory legal rules. Most property disputes start not from bad faith but from a vague contract: a deadline with no date, a payment with no refund condition, an obligation with no remedy.
The program covers the contracts the sector uses every day: the MOU and sale contract, off-plan sales and mortgages, the tenancy contract and its addendum, and brokerage, project marketing, property management and valuation agreements. Each clause is taught with its article in Dubai legislation, then drafted and reviewed on a single deal that runs across all five days.
What you will master
- Know what makes a real estate contract valid, and when it only takes effect on registration.
- Build a sound contract structure and apply the ten drafting rules.
- Write an MOU with its special conditions: deposit, financing, mortgage and existing tenancy.
- Review an off-plan sale contract against the interim register, escrow accounts and termination rules.
- Write a tenancy contract and an addendum, knowing what can and cannot be agreed otherwise.
- Draft brokerage, marketing, property management and valuation agreements that protect the fee and comply with the law.
- Review any contract with an eight-step method, and tell a void clause from a weak or unfair one.
- Prepare a complete deal file with consistent figures, then present and defend it.
